PICKLEBALL WITH A PURPOSE.
Pure Pickleball CIC exists to make pickleball more accessible, welcoming and beneficial to the communities we serve.
We believe sport can do much more than provide exercise. It can bring people together, build confidence, create friendships, reduce isolation and give people a place where they feel they belong.
That is what we want Pure to be.
WHO WE'RE HERE FOR
Our activities are designed to benefit the wider community, with a particular focus on creating opportunities for people who may face barriers to taking part in sport and physical activity.
This includes children and young people, older adults, people on lower incomes, people with disabilities or additional needs, people experiencing social isolation, beginners and those who may not feel traditional sports clubs are for them.
Alongside this community work, we provide regular pay-and-play sessions, coaching, leagues, competitions and events for the wider pickleball community.
Both parts matter.
A strong, sustainable pickleball club gives us the platform to create more opportunities for everyone.
WHAT WE DO
Pure Pickleball creates opportunities for people to play, learn and compete.
We provide regular playing sessions, beginner opportunities, coaching and player development, leagues, tournaments, youth pickleball and community programmes.
We also take pickleball beyond our own courts.
Through our work with schools, we have already introduced the sport to more than 6,000 children and trained more than 170 teachers to confidently deliver pickleball themselves.
We want that impact to continue growing.
HOW THE COMMUNITY BENEFITS
As a Community Interest Company, Pure Pickleball is built around creating community benefit rather than simply generating profit for private owners.
Income generated through our sessions, memberships, coaching, competitions, events, partnerships and other activities helps us operate sustainably and develop what we can offer.
Surpluses can then be reinvested into furthering our community purpose.
That might mean creating subsidised opportunities to play, developing youth pickleball, supporting new community programmes, providing equipment, working with schools and community organisations, training coaches or creating new ways for people to access the sport.
It means that when Pure grows, our capacity to make a difference can grow with it.
ACCESSIBLE DOESN'T HAVE TO MEAN FREE
We believe community sport needs to be sustainable.
Being a Community Interest Company does not mean that every Pure activity will be free or subsidised. Our regular paid sessions, memberships, coaching and competitions are an important part of creating a financially sustainable organisation.
Where funding, partnerships or our own resources allow, we can use that platform to create targeted free, reduced-cost or supported opportunities for people and communities who may otherwise struggle to access the sport.
Our aim is not simply to make pickleball cheaper.
It is to make access to pickleball wider.
WORKING WITH OTHERS
We want to work with schools, community organisations, local authorities, health and wellbeing organisations, funders, businesses, coaches and other partners who share our belief in the value of accessible community sport.
By working together, we can reach people who might never otherwise walk into a pickleball club.
OUR COMMITMENT
We will continue to listen to our players and the wider community, develop programmes that respond to local needs and use our resources responsibly.
We will measure our impact not only by how many sessions we run, but by the opportunities we create, the people we reach and the communities we help build.
Pure Pickleball is here to create a great place to play pickleball.
But we want it to do more than that.
More people playing. More people connecting. More opportunities created.
