BOOKINGS & PAYMENT
2. MAKING A BOOKING
Bookings are normally made through Pickle Pro, our booking platform.
A booking is confirmed once the required payment has been successfully made and confirmation has been issued.
All standard sessions must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
Customers must provide accurate information when booking and are responsible for keeping their contact details and Pickle Pro account information up to date.
Customers must accept these Terms & Conditions when making a booking or purchasing a membership.
Pickle Pro accounts are personal and login details must not be shared with another person.
3. PRICES
The price displayed for a Pure Pickleball booking is the price payable by the customer.
Pure does not add additional booking or administration fees at checkout.
Prices may vary between different sessions, events, competitions, services and hire arrangements.
CANCELLATIONS
4. STANDARD 72-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY
Unless a different cancellation policy is specifically stated in these Terms or at the time of booking, our standard cancellation policy applies.
If you cancel more than 72 hours before the scheduled start time, you may choose either:
a refund; or
booking credit.
If you cancel within 72 hours of the scheduled start time, no refund or booking credit will be provided.
This policy applies to standard sessions, coaching sessions, Juniors and Youth sessions and Book a Court bookings.
Where a booking is eligible for transfer, you may instead transfer your place to another suitable participant.
Failure to attend a booking without cancelling is treated as a no-show and no refund or credit will be provided.
These cancellation terms do not affect any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
5. REFUNDS
Where Pure approves a refund, we will process it within 7 days.
Refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method.
The time taken for funds to appear after Pure processes the refund may depend on the customer's bank or payment provider.
6. IF PURE CANCELS
If Pure Pickleball cancels a session, the affected customer will receive a full refund.
This includes Juniors and Youth sessions.
Pure may cancel a session where there are insufficient bookings to run it appropriately.
Minimum participant numbers may vary according to the session and format.
Pure may also cancel, suspend or relocate activities because of venue problems, safety concerns, emergencies or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where our venue becomes unavailable and the affected activity cannot reasonably be relocated or rescheduled, customers will receive a full refund.
7. CHANGES TO SESSIONS
Pure may reasonably combine, adjust or change a session format where participant numbers or circumstances require it, provided the resulting activity remains reasonably consistent with the session booked.
We may also change an allocated court, playing area or venue where reasonably necessary.
Where practicable, we will inform affected customers of significant changes.
8. WEATHER AND TRAVEL
If Pure remains open and a scheduled session goes ahead, the normal cancellation policy continues to apply.
This includes situations where a participant is unable to attend because of weather, traffic, public transport disruption or other travel difficulties.
9. LATE ARRIVAL AND EARLY DEPARTURE
Players should arrive in sufficient time for their booking.
If you arrive late, Pure is not required to extend the session or provide a refund or credit for the time missed.
If you choose to leave early, no refund or credit will normally be provided for the unused part of the session.
If Pure has to stop an activity early because of safety concerns or circumstances outside our reasonable control, Pure will determine whether a refund, partial refund or credit is appropriate based on the circumstances.
MEMBERSHIP
10. PURE PICKLEBALL MEMBERSHIP
Pure Pickleball offers an optional annual paid membership.
The current annual membership fee is £50.
Membership is individual and non-transferable.
Membership is not required simply to be part of the wider Pure Pickleball community or to access services that are advertised as being available to non-members.
11. MEMBER DISCOUNT
An active paid member receives 15% off eligible Pure Pickleball bookings.
This includes:
standard playing sessions;
coaching;
leagues;
competitions;
tournaments;
events;
Book a Court; and
private court hire.
The discount applies to the member's own eligible bookings and cannot be used to obtain discounted places for other people who are not entitled to the discount.
The member must have an active paid membership at the time the booking is made.
If a valid discounted booking is made while membership is active, that booking retains its discounted price even if the membership subsequently expires before the activity takes place.
The membership discount cannot be combined with another discount code, offer or promotion unless Pure expressly states otherwise.
12. MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
Membership automatically renews annually unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Pure will provide a renewal reminder approximately 30 days before the annual renewal payment is due.
A member may cancel their upcoming renewal at any time before the renewal date.
Cancelling renewal does not immediately end the current membership. Membership benefits continue until the end of the period already paid for.
The initial annual membership fee and a renewed annual membership fee are non-refundable once charged, except where the member has a statutory cancellation, cooling-off or refund right or where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
Pure may change membership pricing or benefits for a future membership period. Where this happens, members will be informed before their renewal.
PLAYING SESSIONS & COACHING
13. PARTICIPATION
Players are responsible for deciding whether they are fit and able to participate.
You must tell Pure about any injury, medical condition or other relevant circumstance that could affect your ability to participate safely.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits Pure's legal responsibilities concerning health and safety, negligence or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
14. CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR
Players must wear suitable sports clothing and clean, non-marking indoor court shoes.
Pure may prevent someone from participating where their clothing, footwear or equipment creates a reasonable safety risk or risks damaging the venue.
15. PLAYER SAFETY
Pure may refuse, suspend or stop someone's participation where we reasonably believe continuing would be unsafe for that person or others.
Pure may immediately stop or temporarily suspend play because of:
court defects;
equipment problems;
emergencies;
unsafe behaviour; or
other unsafe conditions.
Players must follow reasonable safety instructions given by Pure staff.
16. PERSONAL EQUIPMENT
Players may use their own paddles, balls and other suitable pickleball equipment.
Pure may refuse the use of equipment that we reasonably consider unsafe, unsuitable or likely to damage the venue.
Where Pure equipment is loaned to a participant, it must be treated appropriately and returned when required.
Pure may charge the reasonable replacement cost of equipment that is lost or not returned.
17. DAMAGE
A participant may be charged the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing Pure equipment or venue property where damage results from deliberate misuse, reckless behaviour or failure to follow reasonable instructions.
BOOK A COURT
18. PRIVATE COURT BOOKINGS
Book a Court allows customers to reserve a court for their own group.
The full booking fee is payable when the booking is made.
Unless otherwise stated, the maximum number of players on a court is four.
Paddles and balls are available where required.
The lead booker is responsible for ensuring their group complies with these Terms, the Code of Conduct and venue rules.
Groups must finish promptly at the end of their allocated booking.
Where a group overruns its allocated time, Pure may charge for additional court time where appropriate.
19. TRANSFERRING A COURT BOOKING
A Book a Court booking may be transferred to another person.
The original booker must tell Pure the details of the new lead booker before the booking takes place.
Once transferred, the new lead booker becomes responsible for the group complying with these Terms, the Code of Conduct and venue rules.
20. EXTERNAL COACHES DURING COURT HIRE
Book a Court may be used for paid coaching or commercial activity where that activity relates to pickleball.
Customers may bring their own external pickleball coach.
For an ordinary Book a Court booking, Pure does not approve, employ or verify the qualifications or insurance of an external coach brought in by the customer.
Any such coach operates independently of Pure Pickleball.
Pure does not endorse or accept responsibility for the coaching service provided by an independent external coach, except to the extent that responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
LEAGUES, TOURNAMENTS & COMPETITIONS
21. COMPETITION BOOKINGS
Unless Pure expressly states otherwise when advertising a competition, bookings for leagues, tournaments and competitions are non-refundable once booked.
A competition place may be transferred to another eligible player with Pure's approval.
If a participant withdraws part-way through a league or competition, the entry fee remains non-refundable.
Pure may determine how remaining fixtures, results, standings or other competition matters are dealt with following a withdrawal.
22. COMPETITION FORMAT
Pure may reasonably change:
competition formats;
timings;
schedules;
divisions;
groups;
opponents; and
other operational arrangements.
This allows us to run competitions effectively when participant numbers or circumstances change.
Pure may move a player or team into a different division, group or level where reasonably necessary to maintain appropriate and fair competition.
23. PLAYER LEVELS AND ELIGIBILITY
Players must provide accurate information about their playing level or rating when entering a level-restricted session, league or competition.
If Pure reasonably believes someone has entered at an inappropriate or inaccurate level, we may:
move the player to a more suitable level or division; or
where necessary, refuse participation.
Pure's decisions regarding scores, results, rankings, eligibility and application of competition rules are final, subject to the correction of a clear error.
24. PRIZES AND AWARDS
Some Pure competitions may include prizes, medals or awards.
These are not guaranteed unless specifically advertised.
If an advertised prize becomes unavailable, Pure may substitute an alternative of equivalent or greater value.
JUNIORS & YOUTH
25. CHILDREN'S SESSIONS
Pure currently provides two children's age categories:
Juniors: ages 5–9
Youth: ages 9–15
Bookings for anyone under 16 must be managed through a parent or guardian's account, with the child added as the participant.
26. INFORMATION ABOUT CHILDREN
Parents and guardians must provide accurate information necessary for the safe participation of their child.
This includes, where relevant:
emergency contact information;
medical conditions;
allergies;
disabilities;
additional needs; and
other information that may affect safe participation or the support required.
Parents/guardians must tell Pure promptly if this information changes.
Pure may refuse or suspend a child's participation where required emergency, medical, consent or safeguarding information has not been provided.
27. JUNIORS AGED 5–9
A parent or guardian must remain at the venue for the duration of a Juniors session.
The parent/guardian must remain contactable and responsible while Pure's coaches supervise the activity.
28. YOUTH AGED 9–15
For Youth sessions, a parent or guardian may leave the venue after the child has been properly checked in.
The child must normally be collected at the end of the session by their parent/guardian or another authorised adult.
A Youth player may leave independently where their parent/guardian has given Pure explicit permission in advance.
If a parent or guardian is unexpectedly late for collection, they must contact Pure as soon as possible.
The child will remain supervised in accordance with Pure's safeguarding procedures until appropriate collection arrangements are completed.
29. SAFEGUARDING
Pure takes safeguarding seriously.
Participation in children's activities is also subject to our separate Safeguarding Policy.
Parents, guardians, participants and staff must comply with relevant safeguarding procedures.
PRIVATE EVENTS & WHOLE-CLUB HIRE
30. PRIVATE BOOKINGS
Private events and whole-club hire must be paid for in full when booked unless Pure expressly agrees otherwise.
Capacity will be agreed for each event according to the event format, venue and relevant safety requirements.
The person making the booking acts as the lead booker and is responsible for their group.
31. PRIVATE EVENT CANCELLATIONS
Private events and whole-club hire have a 28-day cancellation period.
If the customer cancels more than 28 days before the event, they will receive a full refund.
If the customer cancels within 28 days of the event, no refund will be provided.
This does not affect statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
32. CHANGING A PRIVATE EVENT DATE
Private event dates may be moved where reasonably possible and subject to availability.
Where less than 28 days' notice is given, Pure may agree to move the booking at its discretion but is not obliged to do so.
If a booking is successfully moved, the 28-day cancellation period will apply to the new event date.
33. IF PURE CANCELS A PRIVATE EVENT
If Pure cancels a private event or whole-club hire, the customer will receive a full refund of all amounts paid to Pure for that booking.
Where appropriate, Pure may first discuss alternative dates or arrangements with the customer, but the customer is not required to accept an alternative instead of the refund.
34. PRIVATE EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The lead booker is responsible for ensuring participants and any external providers comply with:
these Terms;
venue requirements;
the Pure Pickleball Code of Conduct;
safety instructions; and
any conditions specifically agreed for the event.
Where relevant, the lead booker must provide documents requested by Pure before the event, including appropriate insurance certificates and other supporting documentation.
Failure to provide required documentation may prevent an external provider or activity from taking place.
35. EXTERNAL PROVIDERS
External coaches, instructors and activity providers may be used at private events with Pure's prior approval.
Where applicable, they must provide appropriate current:
qualifications or credentials;
safeguarding documentation; and
insurance.
External providers are responsible for maintaining their own appropriate public liability and professional insurance and must not rely on Pure Pickleball's insurance as cover for their independent activities.
36. FOOD, CATERING AND ALCOHOL
External food and catering are permitted at private events, subject to any venue requirements and applicable law.
Alcohol may only be supplied, sold or consumed where all appropriate licences and permissions are in place and Pure has approved the arrangements.
BEHAVIOUR & CONDUCT
37. CODE OF CONDUCT
Everyone taking part in Pure activities is expected to behave appropriately and treat other players, staff, visitors and venue personnel with respect.
Participation is also subject to Pure's separate Code of Conduct.
Pure may refuse or end participation where someone engages in behaviour that is:
abusive;
threatening;
discriminatory;
dangerous; or
seriously disruptive.
Where someone is removed because of their conduct, no refund will normally be due.
Serious or repeated breaches may result in suspension or closure of the person's booking account.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO
38. ADULT PARTICIPANTS
Pure may take photographs or video during normal sessions, competitions and events.
Images of adult participants may be used for:
club news;
Pure's website;
social media;
printed materials;
promotional campaigns; and
advertising.
Adults who do not wish to be photographed or filmed should tell Pure.
We will take reasonable steps to respect an opt-out.
39. CHILDREN
Identifiable photographs or video of children will only be used for Pure's website, social media, marketing or promotional purposes where the appropriate parent or guardian consent has been obtained.
Our use of children's images is also subject to our safeguarding procedures and Privacy Policy.
COMMUNICATIONS & PERSONAL INFORMATION
40. SERVICE COMMUNICATIONS
Pure may contact customers with information necessary to provide a booked service or manage a membership.
This may include communications about:
bookings;
cancellations;
venue changes;
safety;
competitions;
account administration; and
membership renewal.
These are service communications rather than marketing communications.
41. MARKETING
Pure will only send marketing or promotional communications where the appropriate consent has been provided or where Pure is otherwise legally permitted to do so.
Further information about how we use personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.
VENUE & PROPERTY
42. VENUE RULES
Our main venue is currently Shavington Primary School.
Everyone attending must follow reasonable venue rules and instructions from Pure staff or authorised venue personnel.
Pure may change the allocated court, playing area or venue where reasonably necessary.
43. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Participants remain responsible for their personal belongings.
Pure does not normally accept responsibility for personal property that is lost, stolen or damaged at the venue except where the loss or damage results from something for which Pure is legally responsible.
LIABILITY
44. OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Sport and physical activity involve inherent risks.
Participants are expected to follow instructions, behave responsibly and take reasonable care of themselves and others.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing excludes or limits Pure's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms affects a consumer's statutory rights.
45. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
Pure will not be responsible for failure or delay in providing a service where this results from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These might include severe weather, venue closures, utility failures, emergencies, government restrictions or other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.
Where such circumstances affect a booking, Pure will act reasonably in determining whether the activity can be relocated, rescheduled, credited or refunded, subject to the specific cancellation provisions elsewhere in these Terms and the customer's statutory rights.
ACCOUNTS
46. SUSPENSION OR CLOSURE
Pure may suspend or close a booking account following serious or repeated:
breaches of these Terms;
breaches of the Code of Conduct;
non-payment;
abusive or dangerous behaviour; or
misuse of the booking system.
Any decision will be made reasonably and proportionately in the circumstances.
COMPLAINTS
47. RAISING A CONCERN
We want to resolve problems fairly and promptly.
If you have a concern about a booking, session or service, please contact:
Pure also maintains a separate Complaints Policy, which explains our complaints procedure in more detail.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
48. UPDATES
Pure may update these Terms from time to time.
Unless a legal or regulatory change requires otherwise, updated Terms will apply to bookings made after the updated Terms take effect.
An existing booking will normally remain subject to the Terms that applied when that booking was made.
Membership terms may also be affected by changes in consumer law relating to subscription contracts. Where legislation gives members additional rights, those statutory rights will apply regardless of anything in these Terms.
LAW & JURISDICTION
49. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer rights regarding where proceedings may be brought.
