What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a fun, easy-to-learn racket sport played on a smaller court with a paddle and plastic ball. It combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis and can be enjoyed by a huge range of ages and abilities.

I’ve never played pickleball before. Can I join?

Absolutely. You don’t need any previous experience to get started at Pure. Look for one of our beginner-friendly sessions and we’ll help you learn the basics, get comfortable on court and start playing.

How much does it cost to play?

Prices vary depending on the session, coaching or competition you choose. You'll always see the full price before you book. Our regular one-hour sessions typically start from £7 per player.

Where does Pure Pickleball play?

Our main home is at Shavington Primary School in Cheshire, where we have three indoor pickleball courts and sessions running throughout the week. Full venue and arrival information is provided when you book.

Do I need my own equipment?

No. We have paddles and balls available, so you can simply turn up and play. If you catch the pickleball bug and want to buy your own paddle later, we’ll happily point you in the right direction.

Can I come to a session on my own?

Definitely. Lots of players come to Pure on their own. Our sessions are designed to make it easy to get games, meet other players and become part of the Pure community.

Can i just book a court?

Yes. If you’d rather organise your own game, our Book a Court option lets you reserve a court for your group. Bring your own players and enjoy the court to yourselves. Paddles and balls can be provided if you need them.

How do I know which level to book?

Don’t worry too much about labels. Our session descriptions will give you a guide to the level and experience required. If you’re still unsure, get in touch and we’ll help you find the right session.

Do you offer Pickleball for Children?

Yes. Our Pure Juniors & Youth sessions are designed for young players aged 5–15. They’re fun, welcoming and focused on helping children learn the game, develop their skills and enjoy playing pickleball with others. All equipment is provided, so they can simply turn up and get involved.
All of our coaches are DBS checked and safeguarding trained.

How do I book a session?

All our available sessions, leagues, coaching and events can be booked online via PicklePro. Choose what you’d like to play, select an available date and secure your place. Spaces are limited on many sessions, so booking in advance is recommended.

Do you have parking?

Free parking is available on site. Full directions and arrival information are provided when you book.

What happens if i need to cancel?

Plans change, so check the cancellation terms shown when you make your booking. Our cancellation and credit policy applies to sessions, leagues, coaching and events and is available through our booking system and website.

Can I hire Pure Pickleball for a private event?

Yes. You can hire the whole club exclusively for your own pickleball event. With three indoor courts available, it’s ideal for workplace socials, team events, birthdays, community groups, clubs or simply getting a big group of friends together.We can provide the courts, nets, paddles and balls, and can help you create a format that works for your group — whether you want relaxed social play, organised games or your own mini tournament.Get in touch to discuss your event and check availability.
