From Cheshire to Wales — The Purists Go International

Apparently England wasn't enough.

Fresh from a brilliant English Open, Purists have been back on the road — this time crossing the border for the Welsh Open Pickleball Championships.

And once again, Pure players found themselves competing for medals.

It's easy to look at tournament results and focus on who finished first, second or third. We absolutely celebrate those moments — players work hard for them and deserve their success.

But there's something else happening which we're equally pleased about.

More of our players are competing.

For plenty of people, entering a tournament for the first time is a big deal. You go from playing familiar faces on familiar courts to walking into a sports hall full of people you've never met and putting your game on the line.

That's uncomfortable.

And that's precisely why it's worth doing.

Over the last 18 months we've watched players arrive at Pure as beginners, become regular players, start training more seriously and eventually decide to enter competitions.

Others simply love playing socially and have absolutely no interest in tournaments.

Both are equally welcome.

That's the club we're trying to build.

Learn if you're new.

Play because you love it.

Compete if you want to see how far you can go.

And judging by the Purists currently travelling around the country with paddles in their bags, quite a few have chosen option three.
